The Illinois Academy of General Dentistry in conjunction with the Wisconsin Academy of General Dentistry are pleased to present programs leading to Mastership certification in the Academy. To complete the Mastership Program, candidates must enroll for 600 hours of continuing education, 400 of which must be of participatory nature.

These programs, brought to you by the Illinois AGD & Wisconsin AGD earn 1
6 hours of participation credit for those who attend the 2 days of lecture and hands-on. 36 total hours of participation credit to those who attend the 2 days of lecture and hands on, complete the assigned protocol in their office, and return to document the protocol assignment. The reporting session for in-office protocols from previous Mastertrack sessions will be held at 1:00pm on the Thursday prior to the MasterTrack course. We request that those wishing to report on protocols from past Mastertrack sessions notify Dr. Sy Wachtenheim in advance.

These hands-on programs were designed originally for AGD Fellows striving to be AGD Masters. We have since discovered that these programs can be valuable to all dentists from new graduates to the most experienced clinicians.

This course will feature two distinct days of advanced concepts and so much to share.

Day 1: Direct Posterior Restor­atives: The world of Direct/Indi­rect Restorative Dentistry is ever changing with more products re­leased month after month. How do you keep up? How do you know what is best? Which tech­nologies are best for my practice today and tomorrow?

Day 2: This day will include an­terior direct composites, anterior & posterior indirect composite restorations, direct & indirect pulp capping, & temporization with composites. This advanced course will complement day one with so many mini programs that you can use Monday morning.

Speakers Biography

Dr. Lou Graham is an inter­nationally recognized lecturer extensively involved in continu­ing education for dental profes­sionals, focusing on incorporating current clinical advancements

through “conservative dentistry.” He emphasizes in his teaching the same concepts he practices: dental health di­agnosis, treatment plans for medically compromised patients, conservative treatment, cosmetic dentistry, and customized ap­proaches to treatment plans.

1. Understanding the number one cause for sensitivity & it is the key to restorative success & the build­ing block for adhesion dentistry.

2. Understanding the roles glass ionomers MUST play in your daily regime & how they complement the entire process.

Speakers Biography

Dr. Joe Massad practices privately in Tulsa. He holds faculty positions at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, the University of Texas Dental School at San Antonio & the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is the first Director of Removable Prosthodontics at the Scottsdale Center for Dentistry in Arizona from 2006-2010. Dr. Massad served from 1992-2003 as an associate faculty at the Pankey Insti­tute in Florida. Dr. Massad is a fellow of the American College of Dentists, & a Regent/Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics.

The Ultimate Prosthetic & Implant Impressioning Experience

This participation course taught by Dr. Massad will allow each attendee to learn & experience the best methods for impressioning of prosthetic patients for the complete immediate denture & the implant restoration overdenture.
